It’s made from split peas and has a hummus like texture and a mild flavour. It dates back to times when meat was scarce and the pease pudding filled you up. It may sound disgusting but it tastes great.
It goes with out saying that, as Newcastle is so compact, everywhere is within staggering distance and as a group of hens you are going to have to make sure you dress reasonably smartly – no trainers or sportswear and you should get in to most bars and clubs.
