Marmite springs to mind. You either love fancy dress or hate it, we know that, you know that, so go with what suits you. What does fancy dress bring to the party? Well group bonding, group identification (yes girls stand out from the crowd) a little bit of fun and the chance to be as outrageous as you dare (photos please).
If you’re in the LOVE CAMP then we can suggest a few ideas that have worked well with our hens in the past. Here’s the official Top 10 Most Popular as per Freedom hens (in no particular order):
Nurse
Air Hostess
Wonder Woman
Bunny Girl
Pink Ladies
Police Women
French Maid
School Girl
Cow Girl
Queen of Hearts
We know some of you girls like to push the boundaries and go for the more unusual or downright extreme, with you in mind our suggestions are:
Carnival – think Brazil
Vintage – think 20’s flappers
Minions – hmmm odd but fun
Where’s Wally – there she is
Miss Whiplash – oh so naughty
If you’re in the HATE CAMP then we’d direct you to our Accessories planning section, maybe just a few subtle (is there such a thing?) hen accessories would work well for you.
Depending on the bride's personality it could be a fun idea to include a few surprises. But remember she only gets one hen night so think carefully.
Should the hen party be a surprise or arranged by the bride? With most hen weekends, the bride is commonly consulted on the basics, the date, time, invite list, and where it will start. The degree of freedom the bridesmaids get to go off piste, depends on the chances of awakening the bridezilla.
