Freedom FAM in Nottingham

We always like to say “we’ll try before you buy”. It’s great to be able to say “been there and done that”. So several times a year we organise – well Angela in Customer Relations organised this one – a FAM trip. I had to ask what FAM stood for and am happy to share with you that it’s a Familiarity Trip.

Freedom Fam in Nottingham have such a good ring to it.
We were booked into our boutique offering, The St James Hotel. Had a cheeky drink at the bar before our taxis arrived and we were off on the
Booze Cruise.
So if you’ve not read about the Booze Cruise, let me enlighten you. Essentially it’s the alcoholic way to travel. Eat, drink and be merry aboard a boat, whilst cruising along the River Trent.
OK Team Freedom are not shy, we were first up to the buffet, made the most of the free bar and were first and last on the dance floor. The DJ worked hard to keep us entertained and willing to play our requests, actually he doubled up as official photographer too, he also worked hard at keeping up the party atmosphere.
Part of the deal is that after the boat has docked you’re whisked into the city centre and free nightclub entry is laid on.
Doing it in style we had a booth reserved, with vodka and mixers awaiting us at Przym
Nightclub.
It was a late night, well for me, going to bed at 3.45am and being up and down for breakfast at 8am wasn’t easy. But we had a fun morning ahead and needed to get off to the multiple activity site we use in Sherwood Forest.
Don’t mess with Charlee she throws a mean axe. Lucy found the target again and again with our archery session – yes we know, archery had to be done in Sherwood Forest. Angela
manned up and took on the
Blindfold 4 x 4 Driving.
Team spirit took over as we negotiated bridges, beams, scramble nets and tunnels on a woodland
Assault Course.
We were so impressed by the site, been before, and it never fails to disappoint. Hot drinks, clean hygienic toilets, hot food to purchase, excellently enthusiastic staff and run to military precision.
A fab time was had by all, Nottingham we’ll be back.
