As you know the travel and events industry has been severely affected by COVID-19, social distancing and lockdowns. I am the Owner and CEO of Freedom and would like to update you on
how Freedom is recovering from the virus.
I am immensely proud of my team at Freedom, they are all back now, on part-time furlough hours to assist you. We appreciate your understanding that these are not normal times for service response to your calls and emails, however they are shortening and
back to something approaching normality. Please continue to contact us through your group leader as this will help everyone get quicker answers.
For customers due to travel we are working with our suppliers to make sure all events are safe and will
change itineraries free of charge to ensure safety. However listening to our customers, some would like to postpone due to a new wedding date. Our team are here and happy to go through all options with you.
For those of you who had your trip affected by COVID, myself and the team are extremely grateful to the groups opting to postpone your weekend (many of you have fully rearranged your events but if you haven’t yet please get in touch and we’ll get your plans back on track). For those that had to cancel I hope in time you’ll be in a position to book with us again and we look forward to welcoming you back.
There is certainly a brighter future. The number of enquiries has grown each month since lockdown restrictions were lifted and we have seen
record numbers of new customers for 2021 (if you haven’t already done so, now is a good time to get in before availability becomes an issue). Freedom since 1996 has operated a fully bonded HSBC clients account (like a solicitor), so your
deposit money is ring fenced to pay suppliers and protects both you and us against company failure. In addition to this HSBC have given Freedom an interest free 6 figure Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan which guarantees we are still in business even if there are second spikes or local lockdowns.
We certainly all deserve a good party after this lockdown and the Freedom team and I will be here to help.
