Fantastic hen weekend
Hen & her 8 chicks or should I say Bond girls, had a fantastic weekend in Nottingham. We stayed at the crowne plaza hotel. Brilliant hotel, we used the pool and jacuzzi, we would of had a treatment or two if we'd had the time. Rooms where big and clean. Only fault was with the keys, if it went anywhere near a mobile phone it wouldn't work, I don't know how many keys we went through! We did cocktail mailing on the Friday night. That was fantastic we all had a go at making a cocktail, the barman (mr bond) was brilliant fun, he got us playing games while making cocktails. We had canopies inbetween each cocktail. Then at the end we got a meal. The hen is a coeliac and she could order any gluten free meal off the menu (which she was thrilled about) after cocktails we went to the rock city nightclub. It's a complete dive, the floors where sticky, its was dark and grungy, dirty, the ladies loos floor where soaking. We stayed 10 mins then left. (Very disappointed!!) Saturday night was comedy club night in the oceana. That was fantastic, 3 comedians and a brilliant compare. After the comedy acts it turned into a nightclub. We got showed to our booth in the New York disco. It was brilliant, the music was fantastic the dance floor lit up and drinks where half price until 11pm !! We stayed there all night, it was until we left that we noticed there where other clubs on different floors!! Well worth a revisit.
We had a fantastic weekend, and Nottingham is brilliant for shopping!!
Both events where only 10-15 min walk from hotel, so easy to find and get back.
Only thing that spoilt it was the rock city club, don't send people there it's awful, send them to the oceana instead. I'd be happy to go there two nights.
